JAMES BRACEY

James Bracey has quickly risen through the ranks to become Nine Network’s most versatile and leading sports presenter.
​
Since joining the team at Nine in 2016, James is now the main anchor for some of the network’s highest-rating sports coverage - including for the NRL, State of Origin and Grand Final, along with The Presidents Cup and the Australian Open. He is also the host for the popular Monday night ‘100% Footy’ program and is the leading sports anchor for Nine News. His versatility and knowledge of all sports has led to him landing the coveted role of main host for both upcoming Summer & Winter Olympics.

Following his graduation from the University of Newcastle in 2005, with a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism), James joined Sky News as a sports reporter and presenter. During his thirteen-year stint at Sky News, James hosted the very popular SportsNight evening show and covered three Summer Olympic Games (Beijing, London & Rio de Janeiro), two Winter Olympic Games (Vancouver & Sochi), the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, as well as the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

James continues to captivate audiences and make significant contributions within the sports broadcasting industry within Australia. Beyond television presenting, James is also an experienced and in-demand event MC with established partnerships with major brands including Kia Australia for which he is an ambassador.

Having been born and raised on the Central Coast, James now resides on Sydney’s Northern Beaches with his young family and has a strong passion for charitable works to support Diabetes research.
